① Not...until 直到…
S + do not/did not + V...until + 時間點/事件 倒裝形式(強調):Not until + 時間點/事件 + 助動詞 + S + V

The TED.com website was not created until 2007.
TED.com
You won't realize just how much you can learn in eighteen minutes until you give it a try.
She did not start studying until midnight.

Not until 2007 was the TED.com website created.
Not until midnight did she start studying.
Not until 放句首時,主要子句的主詞與助動詞必須倒裝(did/was/were + S + V)。
② suggest that S (should) + 原形V(建議虛擬語氣)
suggest / recommend / insist / demand + that + S + (should) + 原形V 注意:that 子句中的動詞用原形(虛擬語氣,should 可省略)

Gates suggested that the government do more to monitor and control the spread of deadly diseases.
(do 不加 s)
The doctor recommended that he take the medicine twice a day.
(take 非 takes)
The teacher insisted that all students submit their work on time.
suggest建議suggest that he be...
recommend推薦recommend that she go...
insist堅持insist that they come...
demand要求demand that he pay...
request要求request that we attend...

It held its first conference, giving each speaker eighteen minutes to present ideas.

Standing on the shoulders of a giant—you get to see farther and understand more.

Knowing the answer, she raised her hand confidently.
(= Because she knew...)
Exhausted from the long trip, he fell asleep immediately.
(= Because he was exhausted...)
