句型1|It is said that...
It is said that + S + V... = People say that + S + V... = S + is said to + V (原形) / have + p.p. It is believed / thought / reported / known that + S + V...

也可以替換成 is believed(據信)、is thought(據認為)、is reported(據報導)、is known(眾所周知)。

It is said that this word came from a character called Paparazzo in the Italian film La Dolce Vita.
It is believed that regular exercise can significantly improve mental health.
不要用 "It says that..." It says in the article that...(那篇文章中說...)。
It is said / believed / thought / reported / known that... The word is said to have come from a character...(不定詞用 to have + p.p.
句型2|be used to + V 與 used to + V 的三向辨析
① be used to + V原形 = 被用來做...(被動語態 + 目的不定詞) 例:It is used to create images.(它被用來建立影像) ② be used to + V-ing/N = 習慣於...(be + 介系詞 to) 例:She is used to working late.(她習慣晚工作) ③ used to + V原形 = 過去習慣...,現已不再(助動詞) 例:He used to live in Paris.(他以前住在巴黎)

be used to + V原形不定詞(目的)被用來做...(目的)Photoshop is used to edit photos.
be used to + V-ing/N介系詞 to習慣於...(現在狀態)I am used to waking up early.
used to + V原形不定詞(助動詞)過去習慣...(已改變)I used to wake up late.
It is used to create, modify, or digitally combine images and photographs.
(① be used to + V原形)
最易混淆:② be used to + V-ing(習慣)vs. ③ used to + V原形(過去習慣)。 有 be → to 是介系詞,後接 V-ing;無 be(直接 used to)→ to 是不定詞,後接 V原形。
常出現「be used to + V-ing / used to + V原形」的選擇題。記住:be used to 習慣(現在),used to 過去習慣(現在不再)。I used to be afraid of dogs, but now I am used to living with three dogs.
句型3|too...for sb. to V(太...
S + be + too + adj./adv. + (for sb.) + to V原形 = S + be + so + adj./adv. + that + (sb.) + can't/couldn't + V 例:The problem is too difficult for beginners to solve. = The problem is so difficult that beginners can't solve it.

too...to V 含有否定意義,即「太...

...the eponym has become too popular for them to stop its widespread usage.
The coffee was too hot for the child to drink.
too...to 本身已有否定意義,千萬不可再加 not:✗ too tired to not sleep → ✓ too tired to sleep(太累了睡不著)。進階用法:too...not to V = 太...不可能不...(雙重否定 = 肯定):She's too smart not to notice.(她太聰明了,不可能沒注意到。)
學測翻譯和克漏字都愛考 too...to 和 so...that 的互換。公式:too + adj. + (for sb.) to V ↔ so + adj. + that (sb.) can't + V。另外 enough to V(夠... 也是相關句型:old enough to drive = not too young to drive。
